Hi! Between Sunday 22.nd – Tuesday 24.th September 2024, you are welcome to join PreGFL2025 with a Treasures of Norway tour! We´ll start by the Atlantic Ocean in Bergen, and travel to the fantastic Fjord area with Fjordcruise Nærøyfjord (UNESCO), possible visit Stegastein viewpoint followed by The Flåm Railway, one of the most beatiful train journeys in the world. It´s the perfect tour for you who want to experience in short time some very nice parts of Norway with panoramic views, mountains, fjords, waterfalls and highlights of Bergen. We will of course also have time for party!
Both nights we´ll stay at Park Hotel Vossevangen, wich is situated in Voss around 1 hour with train east of Bergen. Everyone pay for hotel with halfboard and can add “Treasures of Norway tour” and other activities according to own preferences.

Day 1. 22.09.2024. Arrival day, highlights of Bergen. Scienic traintour Bergen-Voss and dinner at Park Hotel Vossevangen.
Check possible flights arriving Bergen Flesland airport (BGO). From Oslo, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
Member of OCGFL2025 will meet you at airport, pick up your luggage and give you some coffee, soft drinks and sandwiches. You will also have a map and a possibility to discover Bergen highlights like Bryggen, Fish market, The Fløibanen funicular and more on your own.
For transport from Bergen Flesland airport (BGO) to last station Byparken in citycentre, we recommend Bybanen – Bergen Light Railway (40 NOK, every 5 minutes and takes around 45 min). Ticketmachine on platform. Mastercard and Visa accepted. You can also download Skyss app to buy tickets.

At 16:15 we meet at Bergen Jernbanestasjon (Railwaystation), meeting point will be in the hall in front of tracks. Everyone buy trainticket to Voss and we catch train departs Bergen 16:29 arrives Voss at 17:49.

The Treasures of Norway tour: Price 1500 NOK.
Includes: Bus Voss-Gudvangen, Fjordcruise Nærøyfjorden Gudvangen – Flåm, Flåm Railway Flåm-Myrdal and Bergen line Myrdal – Voss, Coffee, soft drinks & sandwiches for lunch.
10.10 Bus departs Voss, will pass Tvindefossen waterfall, stop at Stalheim and arrives Gudvangen at 11.30.
12.00 Fjord Cruise Nærøyfjord Gudvangen – Flåm (arrives at 14.00)
Enjoy a fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord, listed on UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Nærøyfjord is the narrowest fjord in the world, at one point only 250 metres wide, beneath mountains that tower up to 1700 metres above its sheltered waters. The scenery is very impressive, and if you lift your eyes, you can see mountain farms clinging to the steep mountainsides.
14.00 Light meal in Flåm. Possibility to have some time in Flåm on your own until The Flåm Railway departs at 16.00. Tip: Buy souvenirs at Memories from Flåm and visit The Flåm Railway Museum for free.
14.15 Possible tour up to Stegastein viewpoint ,additional 380 NOK, we`ll come back if we can arrange this tour in a cheaper way.
We experience the extraordinary and spectacular panoramic views from Stegastein viewing platform! This structure, which juts out 30 metres from the mountainside, 650 metres above the fjord, offers an unparalleled panorama. A more amazing view of the fjord, mountains and surrounding landscape is hard to imagine.

16.00 The Flåm Railway Experience the world´s most spectacular railway journey, and one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The Flåm Railway runs between the mountain station Myrdal by the Bergen Railway, down to Flåm station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord. On the 20 kilometers long train trip, with a height difference of 865 meter, you experience some of the wildest and most magnificent Norwegian fjord and mountain landscape. Discover rivers cutting through deep ravines, waterfalls cascading down steep mountainsides, snow-capped mountain tops and mountain farms clinging to the steep sides.
The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest railway lines in the world on normal tracks, where almost 80% of the journey has a gradient of 5.5%, the equivalent of 1:18. A twisting tunnel, which winds its way throught the mountain at several levels, is proof of the most audacious and skilled engineering exploits in Norwegian railroad history.
Arriving at Myrdal station, at the top of The Flåm Railway, at 16.53, we change train to Bergen line, dep 17.04, and enjoy the scenic traintour back to Voss, arriving at 17.51.

- We´ll mostly stay inside but wind and waterproof clothing is a must, the weather in the mountains change fast!
- Check valid travel insurance and bring Passport.
- Norway is outside EU and it´s possible coming from abroad to buy Taxfreegoods upon arrival OSL or BGO when showing your boardingpass from the trip. After the Taxfreestore you have to pass Customs. Check alcohol and tobacco quotas here.
